What happens to the details you send me. Short, and in plain English.

Who runs this site

The Cavity Wall Report is run by Ian Anderson, a sole trader based in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire. Questions about your data go to [email protected].

What I collect

Whatever you put in the enquiry form or an email. That’s usually your name, email address, phone number, postcode, a description of your walls and what’s wrong with them, and any photos you send.

What I use it for

  • Replying to you.
  • If you agree, passing your details to extraction firms that cover your area so they can quote you.

I never sell your details. I never pass them to a firm without your agreement, and I never pass them to compensation-claims companies.

The legal basis

Your consent, which you give when you send the form, and my legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you’ve sent me.

How long I keep it

Up to 12 months after your last message, then it’s deleted. Ask me to delete it sooner and I will.

Who else handles it

The website host (Krystal, UK), the email services that deliver form messages to me, anyone who helps me answer enquiries under a written agreement to keep your details private, and any firm you’ve agreed I can pass your details to.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what I hold about you. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
